Was looking at an allis chalmers 5050 that has 14/9-24 on the rear andsmaller tires on front than normal utility type. This tractor sets lower to the ground than another 5050 I saw in the past, so I am assuming this one may be a low center of gravity tractor. Also has clam shell fenders. Could the final drives be turned one bolt hole to bring it up to same height as the ones that had 14/9-28, and then match larger front wheels and tires to make it level? Was looking to maybe buy, but the lower ground clearence would be a problem. Changing fromt & rear tires and wheels would correct problem, but would add quite a bit of expense. thanks for any input.
