Hello I am working on a allis chalmers wc, and I am to the point where I am trying to start the tractor. I believe I have the mag timed right on the engine. I went thru the steps i found with TDC and then rotate back to the fire mark. I put a new zenith carb on it and have good gas going to the carb. I crank the tractor over and it will try to start and then keep cranking, then gas will seep out of the bottom of the carb. And then every one in a while it will backfire maybe once and sound like a gun going off. But then try to fire.
