Thanks for the help guys. I finally got it running yesterday. I had rebuilt the motor before parking it at my fathers. I was a bit aggravated that I couldn"t get it to fire. I started over timing and setting the points. I finally got it running at about 20 deg advanced off the timing mark. It still does not have the power that it used to, but we are getting there. Now I have to figure out why the carb is dripping gas (even after rebuild) down the intake tube.

Sorry a bit more explanation. It's dripping a little gas when it is shut down. Closing off the tank stops it, but I can't leave it well enough alone. Ended up mowing about 2 acres yesterday.

The float needle is not seating in its seat. Not uncommon with the plastic tipped needles. When I have one like that I toss it in the can and put in an old solid brass needle. Some say you can tap on them to get them to match the seat making sure they are warm when tapping. The tips are of a plastic rubber which if hot they will melt. Hot being 250 degrees or more.
