Gleaner F fan and sieve settings

I have the Sieve set at 1/2 inch and bottom closed fan all the way . I feel I should not be running fan full bore. I am still getting hulls in the bin. What is the best way to check if I am blowing seed out the back besides looking on the ground, cutter bar shattering can be deceiving . Running 44 tooth sprocket and running it slow still getting some splits. Is this normal or should I run my 52 tooth? My book I have is very delicate appears to have took on moisture some time in its life. Any help would be appreciated.

If you getting alot of splits open the cylinder up a little bit. 1/8 inch should help. as to check where you loosing beans at cutterbar is look under the combine. You also need to let the fan have some air to float the hulls orer the screen

I' have been running fan wide open. Opening the cylinder up is an easy task but I have been playing with that also. I guess I will take it to 3/8 - 1/2 inch . Should a guy close top sieve or does that effect my air flow to much?

Try running the fan about 2/3 open. Chaffer (top sieve) cannot be closed- air should be going through to float trash. Try about 5/8 inch, go to 3/4 inch if needed.
