Allis Chalmers D-15 Governor shaft swap

I am looking ot do an Allis Chalmers D-15 Governor shaft swap. The gear on the governor shaft looks worn, and needs to be changed.
Th question is, will the governor shaft come out the rear, or does the radiator and other front parts need to be removed to do this?

This is a guess.
After you remove the distributor drive housing from the rear, and the governor cover from the front. The gov./ign. drive gear assembly has to be removed to the front. But I think once it's moved forward a little it can be turned and brought out.
