12v Convert of AC WC

I have a 6v pos ground WC backwards loader that I am switching to 12v pos ground. Other than the coil, alt., batt. and light bulbs this tractor has an ignition switch with a starter solenoid. My question is do I need to rewire anything with the switch and do I need a different solenoid?

No you do not have to do any thing else. Shoot you can keep that coil if you add a ballast resister like the O'Reilly's VR-1

IF you haven't already found it, there's a pretty good set of instructions and a wiring diagram for converting a Farmall M. The WC would have a virtually identical electrical system.

Forgot the say if your going with an alternator you have to switch the ground from + to - or your new alternator will not last a split second

your o.k.... but check the alternator. 99% are negative ground.
