I am new to the world of tractors and have acquired an Allis d14. I am wanting to use a 4 row planter and do not know how to utilize the remote hydraulics, any help is sure appreciated.

I hope it's a little old light planter that requires only one cylinder.
You need a smallish one way, or vented two way cylinder. I'm guessing about 2"x8".
There's only one control. So the lift arms will be up when you are using the remote. Usually they stay up by themselves when you drop the implement. But if they don't, you can tie them up.

Make sure the cylinder you use can withstand 3000 psi. AC's utilize a high pressure, low volume pump. All you have to do is use a 1 way cylinder, or a vented 2 way, as others have said. The lift arms lift first, then the implement lifts. Vice versa, on the way down. You just have to lift the lower lever, left side of the quadrant. Make sure to have enough fluid in the sump, too. Dipstick, halfway up the torque tube, RS from the operators position, universal hytran.
