making stationary wd engine ?

I have a wd engine that I would like to make stationary to run the belt pulley. Have any of you done this before and know what the best way would be to do it. Thank you very much for any help.

Years ago, all you saw at the amusement rides at the Fairs was AC stationary engines running the rides..
Should be a rather simple conversion, to use a belt pulley.
Some used a "V-belt" pulley instead of the flat belt pulley..
The Foot Clutch has a lever to lock the foot clutch in the disengaged position from the factory.
Making the frame to mount the engine would be the biggest part of the job..!

201 power unit was the AC fact0ry unit of that engine.

Hard to say what is best for you? Depends what you mean by best? Cheapest? Easiest? or what? Also depends on your fabrication and scrounging skills. Easiest would be to find a WD parts tractor and use the frame, radiator and clutch housing back to the belt pulley. BUT it then leaves a person to wonder that by the time you build a cart under it why you just didnt leave the tractor all together?? LOL. Cheapest would be like the units the Amish do where they skid mount an engine and use the tractor clutch and transmission input shaft and rig up some bearings to support the shaft with everything being on a couple Oak rails.
If it was me building it I would go find a G-201 or G-226 power unit that has had the engine robbed out if it and resurrect it.
