1944 Allis C oil leak

I have a 1944 Allis Model C. This tractor was restored a few years ago and sold to me last summer. According to the original owner the engine had a full restoration so forth. Since then it has just been a show tractor with minimal use. Now that I"m actually using the tractor on the daily basis I"ve noticed a slight oil leak coming from the front two spark plugs. Tractor runs excellent with lots of power, but I don"t want to let this issue go. There enough of a leak that you notice a slight stream of oil running down the side of the block. I removed the spark plugs and hex portion of the spark plug had wet oil on the underside. What could have caused this? I have a complete top end engine gasket set in case I need to pull the head. Any suggestions of where this oil could be coming from? I"m a 2 cylinder Deere guy so this is all new to me.

one of two things happpend, oil rings broken or not seated rite. Badly woren valve guides, I am guessing the later.

you think oil is coming out of the spark plug hole? HOW ? I would guess you have a small leak on the valve cover or head gasket and its dripping. Look at the cover above the spark plugs. Head bolts should have been retorqued after a few hours use, and the cork valve cover gasket will take a set... snug the 4 nuts on top of the cover.

If the oil is actually coming from the spark plug hole in a stream you would be spitting oil out the exhaust. Wrap a clean dry rag around the spark plug after making sure it is clean and dry around the plug first. Watch to see where the rag gets wet first.
