I had d14 with a 3 pt attachment hitch.

It worked fine, I had no problems lifting the Bush hog.

Can you attach a picture of your 3pt hitch with the bushhog attached.

I"ll try to post a pic tonight, I have already cut down my top link and it worked better but it still isn"t like it should be. The idea of the top link location has always bugged me, it seems like it should be farther up. Thanks , I"ll try to get pics up tonight.

Look at the back of the bracket, it's bent upward. Several of this type bracket were made by various manufacturers. The best, use the seat bolts, the front differential bolts, and the 2 smaller bolt holes, that originally held the PTO shield on. Te one I like best was made by worksaver. Yours could be straightened, and strengthened, by adding a plate, that goes down to the PTO bolt holes.

Top link looks normal. Seems like you should be able to adjust it to get what you want. Without some serious fabrication you aren't going to get the top link mount bracket any higher. In fact that's higher than some I've seen. And it looks like it's higher than intended! It looks like it has bent up around those bolt heads. The bracket I recall had a reinforcing plate going down to those two studs that are supposed to be holding the PTO guard.

This is the first Allis I have ever owned so I don't have a clue as to what that mount should look like. I saw the bend but didn't know if it was supposed to be there or not. Do you know of a parts source I can use to get a better one or should I just straighten this one and beef it up a little?
