Same cu in 226. 45 revs at 1400, 17 at 1650; probably carboration difference. 45 about 44 PTO hp, 17 about 54. Gearing or rear end a little slower in the 17s.
 
Same 4-1/2" stroke on both. D17 crankshaft had larger main bearings, and D17 had full-flow oil filter rather than bypass type.
