Hello I am looking at "low houred" gleaner F. Everything has been barn kept. It has a bucket elevator and the cylinder has had more " aggressive bars" put on it. Since it does not have an hour meter I am not sure how to tell walkers and sieves for excessive wear. The teeth on the chopper are all new on one side. What about bearings and belts? Thanks for your help.

They are nice machines and the perfect size combine, as for bearings its hard to tell on them, run it and feel them, if they get hot they are wearing or just run it and they will let u kno! The belts can be visibly inspected but alot of times they get hot and age will catch up and they fly apart, its quite an experience running one,, hope it works out

I"ve never seen wear as an issue on walkers and sieves. Physical damage, yes. Chopper knives should be replaced in sets of 3 to maintain balance.....never only one or two in one rotor location. Ran my F for a few years, the F2 for over 20, M2 for almost 10. Excellent machines, easy to work on, gentle on the crop.
