trying to start my tractor after sitting for many years. I have the whole fuel system apart and cleaned. It has very good spark.
Will only run with choke fully on for a short while.
What should i look for to fix this issue.

Carburator needs a good cleaning inside, one of the passages is plugged up.
We had a B Allis that was always acting up. So one day we fixed it permanently, we traded it on a new John Deere, problem solved".

i have had it soaking for the past 3 days now, and i gave it a real good cleaning so i don't think that should be the problem. But yes that is a great way to fix the problem.

your running out of gas if the choke needs to be on... One of the small brass jets is plugged in the carburetor. You might boil it in hot water on the stove... then take out the jets and blow everything out.

Is that carb the one with the brass plug sitting on top of the main jet?? I know most are. Pull that cover plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas out of it. Let it flow for say 3 plus minutes. Catch it to make sure it is not full of water and dirt. Almost bet your flow is poor due to a clogged jet. When cleaning a carb you need a piece of wire etc to poke in to the jets to clean them good. I use a torch tip cleaner tool for that

alright thanks for all the tips, i will have to give the jet a going over to make sure it is very very clean.

Mr. Phillips,
When we got rid of the B Allis our troubles were over. We didn't have to spend any thing on repairs.
In fact the dealer said he hasn't seen us since the sale of the new tractor. Dad said we didn't need any thing in the line of repairs any more.
