Question about AC 3 Wheeler.

Im wondering, Why did ACs 3 wheeler sell poorly when the Bull, which came out at the same time was the largest selling tractor until Uncle Henry got started? The AC had both rear wheels capable of driving and pulling. The Bull had only one. The other just went along for the ride?

If I am not mistaken the maker of the Bull ( already popular) approached AC to co build the tractor. AC declined in favor of designing their own. By the time AC got the 10-18 into production the design was becoming outdated due to the gaining in popularity of the four wheeled tractor.

Does it seem logical that, IF they had sold so many they were widely popular, that they wopuld have to ask AC to start building them. I could see that from the git go, but not way down the line.

THAT SAID, I do know Bull DID have manufacturing problems. Seems like AC missed the boat by not building the BULLS While they were perfecting their own 3 wheeler, THEN, when they were ready to present it for sale, dropping Bull, That would have cut the legs of a serious competitor, AND AC could have been making money while they were developing their own tractor, not to mention seeing the bugs in the Bull by building it, and not incorporating them into their own tractor. O well. Thanks for the comment.
