wc engine transplant

Engines to will both right into a styled WC are the WC, WD, WD45. And there is probably a few others but not sure which others

In addition to old"s comment- WF is the same engine- WF is wheatland version of WC. Also 201 and 226 cu inch power units, and engine from Model E combine.

A lot depends on what all you need etc. I have more then one old WC/WD/WD45 engine laying around but all need some TLC so none are drop in an go. Shipping one is not cheap since they come in at 300lbs plus

check out the county fairs having combine derbies for a Gleaner E engine.Might be able to get one cheap. fairs having

D 17's and 170 gassers will drop in also.

E Gleaner is probably the easiest to find though. One note you will likely need a donor tractor engine for the E gleaner transplant. The governor is a single speed on the combine.

Depends on what you are using the tractor for. If you need lots of power for pulling etc , then yes go with the Gleaner or D17 engines , if not then a WC WD is fine . I installed a 1950 WD in my 1939 WC and it fit up perfect has enough power and runs well.--- good luck and have fun
