im just going throw this out thier i got motor what is it worth and is anybody interesed in it 226 cid out of gleaner combine runs good
 
same engine for a D17. wet liners...somebody may need one...Paid 600. for a block years ago..week later found one @ A auction attached to somekind of water pump.. To scared to see what it went for.. less than $100 I bet
 
I put one on a WD-45 and it a pretty strong engine for that tractor. A little more HP and the spin on oil filter$ good oil pressure. Only main change was to use the original governor hookup off the old tractor engine. Best advantage was that it was free for the taking and that does not help on the value of the engine when you are trying to get rid of one.

We had another running Gleaner we sold for $100.00 on a auction and the scrap man never bothered picking it up so there sits another spare engine. Not worth anything until you try to rebuild an original engine than get out lots of money!!!cleddy
 
if anyone neds a good diesel motor for the gleaner f, I have one ,,or if I could find a 190 that needs a motor I would buy it if not too expensive ,,..
 
Again - Location please. I would be interested depending on where and how much.

As to value, I picked up a running WD45 motor with spare head and other spares for about $350 in southeast LA. Have seen less complete (no manifold, distributor etc) go under $150. Have also seen a low hours complete running G226 go $1200 from a former AC dealer in IL.

Worth more in AC country from a known seller than down here in LA from unknown Craigs List.
