mid range cab tractor - Deutz vs CaseIH ?

Tractorhouse has the following two tractors in my price range of $6,500.
1987 DEUTZ ALLIS 7085
1985 Case IH 833

Thoughts on selecting one or the other?

If you priced parts for a deutz,You'd never buy one.I had a Gleaner with a duetz engine .Very good engine ,but not on farm equipment. Dirt plugs coolers, cooling fan wears out from dust
and as I remember the fan itself was over $600.

$600 for a fan, yikes! Good insight, I have heard rumor of Allis Chalmbers parts being pricey and hard to come by, makes sense that Deutz follows suit. Definitely a wise consideration. So you are thinking the Case IH from a parts standpoint is more easy situation.

There's lots more Case-IH parts in salvage yards that there are Deutz.

The only Deutz equipment I have is a tedder, and when I complain about parts prices, they tell me any part with the Deutz name on it is going to be very expensive (so far they've been right)
