I also made a DVD of this, fun to watch. I always told my buddys that in its day a WD 45 with its own snap couple 3 bottom plow would plow circles around a Farmall M or or John Deere A and at our local show last year one was there and sure proved my point........

I was young enough that when the WD45 was the big tractor, I didn't do much plowing. I do remember one time when I apparently hit a good solid rock square on. The hand clutch throw-out mechanism did its job, and the tractor stopped so fast, I was slammed into the steering wheel. The clutch lever hit the rubber bumper so hard it bounced back and re-engaged, nearly throwing me off the seat! I guess the plow had jumped clear of the rock by then.

Dad and I used to plow 50 acres in a day with 2 WD-45 tractors and 2 4x14" semi-mounted plows..I still have one of those outfits..
Always 2nd gear..used less gas per acre than 3x14".

Put Duals on every time we worked plowed ground with a #37 IH disc..always 3rd gear..
