Followed your advice, took the tower off. The shifter fork for 1st, 2nd,3rd & 4th was broken off. It is part # U-2858 according to my manual.

How will I find one of those?

Boy is it ever sultry here today, Western Colorado!!! The monsoons from Mexico are here, brought .47" rain last night. None in June. BUT...the time it rained 40 days and 40 night (I sure can remember that) we got a quarter inch!!!
