I have a allis chalmers B207 tractor and cannot figure how the pattern on the transmission belt should be. Does anyone know this?

Sitting on the tractor. Belt runs from left side of jackshaft back over idler pulley to bottom of transmission pulley then from top of transmission pulley straight to right side of jackshaft pulley. I have two of these, but converted one to a single belt drive like the Homesteader 8 had. Problem with original B207 set up is this: When designing a belt or chain drive, always put the idler on the return side not the drive side. The B207 transmission idler is on the drive side. I love this little tractor, but that was a stupid design. Can't reverse it though or you would get three speeds in reverse and one forward.
