italian built Fiat-Allis loader

I 've owned several allis and Fiat-Allis loaders. There is a '80's-'90's loaders for sale that is much different from the American and South American built ones. Where can I research this...........nothing on the net.

This machine has 15.5x20.5 tires, similar to a 545;it has a watercooled 4 cylinder diesel,Not a American design. The hardnose has a solid welded panel, not a removable treadplate design and has lasrge tubes in the top of the nose to exhaust the hot air. definately different. Love to know more.

In the early 1980s, the 545, 605 and 645 loaders were redesigned with FIAT motors and called FR10, FR12, FR15. I think a 10 is "about " 100 HP, while a 15 is "about " 150 HP. THe new FIAT designes (but American built with their motors) were called FR for Fiat rubber tire loader, FLl for Fial track loader, and FD for Fiat dozer.

Steve, this is NOT an American design machine like you mentioned. This Italian machine has a different design boom assembly, axles, and an engine unlike the ones in the FR machines; I'm buffaloed. It would followe me home if I knew what I had.

I left FA aabout 87 and they were winding down manufacture in Deerfield Illinois. I would guess in the early 90s, the machines were designed and built in Italy. (or outsourced from there).
