I have a big ten and am having trouble figuring out how to hook up the deck belt and chain. It is hydraulic lift and seems to be all complete. The pulley on the deck is horizontal and the one on the tractor is vertical. By looking at it it doesn't seem as it will work. Does anyone know what size the belt is also? A thousand thank yous

Go to simpletractors.com. AC & Simplicity (also built for private label). Site is full of info. And yes the belt twists, if twisted wrong, the blades run backwards. You should be able to see where the belt rubbed on the deck suspension--a round tube. I don"t remember the size, would have to dig out my old manuals, sorry. I can tell you tho' that the 2 belts (1 clutch, 1 deck) need to match total length. If 1 is not right it affects the other. The idler swings. I've used 'A' belts, but if you use a oem and a 'A' you'll fight keeping the clutch adjusted. Had the best luck with either 2 'A' or two oem. I"ll try to find the 'A' #'s I wrote down. Hope I didn"t just confuse you, being long winded.

Tried to call, no luck. callfinally connectted, but my # is blocked (co phone) and won't go thru.
Haven't found my notes, which deck?.
