Allis Chalmers G

I bought one for $2450 on ebay last summer. Tin very good, tires good needed tune up,some seals & the usual stuff.Ran most of the time with no smoke.original paint ,plow without coulter or gauge wheel. Restorers dream.I had to drive 450 miles one way to get it.Got lost ,did see Lincolns tomb but hadn't planned to.Was a good photo op., Allis G parked infront of Lincoln
but was too ticked at myself to realize the moment.Fun tractors to own & work on.

all depends. i've seen hulks need 4000$ of restoration go for 1000-1600$.. I've seen plenty of runners sell in the 2000-3000$ range. with showboats going higher.

I think soundguy has it pretty much nailed. Depends a lot on what's on it too. Belt pulley attachment and hydraulics bring the price up. Same for front weight. Front rockshaft assembly is hard to find and, if you want that, it's best to keep looking for a tractor that has one on it. Same for rear cultivator carrier. Of course implements add to the price too. It seems to me that there was one sold on e-bay not too long ago in the $7000+ range with a planter on it. I just gave $2,800 for one with front toolbar that's an older restoration and had to have it hauled half-way across the country. So far, mechanically it seems good, badly in need of rear tires, runs good but may need carb kit and/or governor adjustment when I find the time. Tin and it's paint is good but paint on cast iron and heavy steel members is showing age again.
