Where the pedestal bolts to the gear box there are shims and gaskets. Some of the shims & gaskets need to be removed to tighten the gear spacing, but do not make it too tight. Just enough to load the bearings. LOL Bob
 
I got it fixed the gear was worn some , so I took the slack out by adding a large thin washer under the big one, when I thighten it it pulled it up thighter and now drives good, thanks to you two for your help.
