190 xt trouble

have a 190 xt diesel tractor runs fine for about 30 to 45 mintutes then it starts bogging out and loses fule pressure I think the injector pump seal is going anybody have any ideas and maybe a quick fix for this

Check the oil and make sure it is not full of fuel. If it is DO NOT run it any more or it will lock up. I had a XT190 that I got locked up and the injector pump seals where bad and that in turn took out the gov parts etc. Got the engine freed up but way to much tractor for my 44 acres of land

the oil level is up and kind of thin so I think fule is in it can I rebuild the pump myself or should it go to a shop

If all it is is the drive shaft seals you can do it your self but if the gov ring is going bad you need to have a diesel shop do it since there is a lot of stuff there that needs to be set just to spec and if not set right can cause you to blow n engine fast. Bad thing is your looking at $1000 give or take to get it done right.

You are probably going to need to rebuild your pump. Around here that would run about $500 at a good injector pump shop. Pull the fitting off the top of your pump to see if there is pieces of the seal ring clogging it up. You can bust the glass ball out to make it run for a while longer but not much longer. Usually though if that's the case the tractor will bog down after 30 seconds or less not after 30 minutes. Did you pull the sediment bowls off to see if they are clogged up? That would be my first move. Take a look in the tank too. My 190 had black electrical tape and feed sack strips of paper floating around and the fuel bowls would get clogged up. Had to drain the tank and take a shop vac with a 3/4" copper pipe taped to it to vacuum the tank out through the filler neck and sender unit hole.

well I took the fitting off from the fuel feed blew it all out and its spotless go to start tractor didnt even prime it and started right up before she gave you a fight but it was 80 today here also ran tractor say 30 minutes at about 1600 rpm no problems or overheating but I did add a gallon of coolant also well just have to keep an eye on it hook the disk on in a day or so and see what it does

This happened to me on my 180, took me a long time to figure out that just pulling the sediment bowl off and cleaning it and the screen is only about 10% of the problem, the real problem was the clogging from the tank to the sediment bowl assembly/shutoff. You"ll need to unscrew the complete assembly from the tank and replace it or clean it. Also be ready with something to hold the fuel in your tank while the assembly is off. Hope this helps.
