Need some expert advise.
A friend I know ask me for information on prices for some Allis tractors. The tractors belong to his uncle who wants to sell them ( illness ).
They are mechanically redone, cosmetically restored, new tires front and rear. They have not been started in 5 yrs but are stored in a climate controlled building.
5 - WC's 1 - CA. 1 - B. 1 - WD-45
I am a IH collector and have every little knowledge about Allis.
Any input you guys can give for this family would be appresicated
Thanks
JG

Lots of AC collectors out there, but not as many as for IH. Prices would be comparable to what you would get for the same sized IH. Like anything else in todays market, try to find a buyer. There just aren't that many these days.

"They are mechanically redone, cosmetically restored, new tires front and rear. They have not been started in 5 yrs but are stored in a climate controlled building."
Being redone doesn't mean anything as they haven't been started/run in 5 yrs. That long a time for tires sitting on the ground could make them worthless.
That being said, ANY of them could be worth anywhere from $400 to $1500. It all depends where they are and if anyone wants them. We need more info and pictures.

Have to agree with Ted. Location means alot as far as value goes. Without seeing them everyone has a different opinion of what RESTORED and REDONE means. I am looking for a B myself that's why I would like to know location.

Thanks guys
The tractors are located in SE TENN, I didn't ask for the exact location. I will see if my friend can get pictures of each tractor and try to get them posted. I don't know who all, in the family , is involved with the situation. As you all know its can be hard being on the outside looking in. My friend did say the tractors are immaculate.
Thanks

Well I can tell ya, We had seals, bearings, brakes, drums and hand clutch along with all the gaskets and seals done on a 53 AC CA and it costed us nearly 4000bucks. Of course there was labor involves as we took it to a shop(shop had a lot more tools than we did) but we"ll be lucky to get 2500
