Need to know what i should offer for a d17 wide front bad front tires, good rear tires, dont run at present time, steering wheel needs replaced, and fenders are bad, the 3 point doesnt look very strong.??gas engine not stuck.

If it helps I paid $1400 a year ago at auction for late Series II D17 that was not running (head off). But it had almost new front tires on good rims, good radiator, excellent front grill that matched a Series III/IV and the latest style wide front that also matched a Series III/IV. I'd pay that much or more for just those parts. All that stuff is going on my Series III & IV. And I got the whole rest of the tractor to boot for spare parts including a good factory power steering set (earlier governor mount pump style). Mike

Non-running pretty much scrap price plus maybe a tad bit but that is all. So figure maybe $500 tops. Now if it did run then triple it plus some maybe

I offered 750 but havent bought it yet come with bushog and blade.but i think i was on the high side considering it look rough

You offered $750 for a D17.....that comes with a bushhog and blade? You wouldn't like my first response! Engine loose and non-running- could be a simple fix.....or??? You say the 3 pt looks weak?????? How do you judge that if it's not running? Are you talking about it comes with a 3pt conversion? Hyd lift capacity, or some cobbled up after-market 3pt replacing the Snap-Coupler system? Rear tires are 'good'? That's a major value. Bottom line, seller will get way better offers. You're talking WD, cheap WD45 prices. With no attachments with them!

looks like a home made hitch the pieces that go from top to the lift arms are not very big bought like my finger size around. If it runs will be ok but if it dont really dont think scap would bring that much, hopeing bushog works, blade will bring 100.fenders are junk as well as steering wheel.and its an early model.gonna go look at it again how can i tell if its got power steering , Im into j.d. so dont know anything about ac

When you see the condition it is in now, how do you know how it was taken care of previously.
$550 to $600 is tops in my book. ggp

I had to learn the hard way once upon a time, and then I was saved by an old - timer. He says not running with bad tires $500.00 with good tires $800.00 so add a few hundred for the implements.
Good luck
