WD or WD45?

Picked up a tractor this weekend, but still confused!!!! It has curved shifter, but also has WD motor with sideplate. I was looking at serial #'s and I think the # on the rear tells me it is a 1956 WD45, below are the numbers can anyone give me some insight?

Motor: WD 202994GA
Rear end: WD 234333

With that serial number it sounds like a WD45 that had a WD engine replacement or a WD the had a WD45 rear and transmission relacement.

When the WD was being improved there were many that had the curved shifter and the WD engine but not with that high of a serial number.

I would say now have the same as the later WD.

The rear of that tractor is a WD45 1957.

Hate to take aprt, tractor was reported to have been sitting for over 3yrs and started right up and drove on and off trailer. Did not smoke do need to replace a rear tire and a rim on rear. Metal is straight just some surface rust that can be cleaned up. It will be a using tractor for my small acreage, plan to use with NH S69 baler to bale 20 acres. I really like the hand clutch when baling. Also got him to throw in some 3pt arms that were adapted to work with the snap coupler. Think I got a pretty good deal $600.

Tramway could be right. Anybody who has driven both the WD and the WD-45 would be able to tell by the sound whether it is the 4" stroke or 4.5" stroke engine.
Interestingly, the engine block is a 1948, the first year of the WD and the rear-end is a 1957, the last year of the WD-45.

WD had the curved shifter, constant mesh transmission in late 1952, SN 127008. WD45 came out in 1953 at SN 146607.

Is it a wide front? If so does it have 3 or 4 bolts on the very front of the gearbox to hold the frontend in place. Late 45"s had 4 bolts and wd"s and early 45"s had 3 bolts.
