I bought a ib yesterday at auction, got it started today and it smokes a little. When it idles it smokes but if you run around at a certain rpm it clears out and does not smoke. If you rev up it will smoke. i changed the oil in it and looked like a little moisture in the oil. Where should i start looking to get the smoke to stop/

1800 it has been restored, good tires. the tractor is a 9 out of 10. just smokes

Probly could get double you money back even with it having a bad habit.

if the smoke is burning oil, then it has to get to the combustion chamber past the piston rings. or the valve stems. If the smoke is actually steam or water, it could be condensation in the oil, or small antifreeze leak. Monitor the oil level and radiator level and see if they go up or down. What weight oil did you use " a somewhat thicker oil (10-w40) might raise oil pressure, and cause less burning thru leakage.

It might be worth using the tractor to pull a disc or drag for an hour.. load it down.. see if it just needs a good workout.
