Was pushing on a burn pile this afternoon and when i pulled up and went to shift into reverse i knew it didnt feel right. Tractor will move in all gears but will not go into reverse. High or low side will not work in reverse only. I didnt hear a popping noise or anything out of the ordinary. It just feels loose when putting it in reverse. Thanks for the help

I imagine it's just something with the shifter mechanism. That all comes off with the cover.(Unless something broke right off and fell down!)
It's not much of a job to pull the cover. It can be a challenge getting it back on with all shifters lined up. There should be two special dowel bolts, in opposite corners of the cover.

Before you pull the shifter cover, make sure you have it in 2nd gear, as well as putting it back on. If in nutural, it won't come off.

Had a 180 do that many many years ago. Seems their was a 3/8 bolt or something fell out on reverse shift shaft. Think I took cover off under seat and looked down and could get to it. Turned out to be a simple fix. Hope that helps

Pulled the cover off and i found that the reverse shifter fork end has been broke off. Doesnt seem like much of a job to replace but I am worried about getting the broken piece out.
