Have a D-17 no Plows. A man (4 Hours away) has a plow for a WD it is pin type. Can the pin front be changed to the Snap Coupler attachment? Will it work on my Series II D-17 doing that? Do I have to do more for it to work? Is it just better to find a correct D-17 plow and forget about the WD plow? The man says the WD comes with the plows, lister, and cultivators and has not been started in 10"s of years. Unknown of anything else. Thanks in advance for all your knowledge and help. |

| Above all, use the quick-release snaps on the lift links and you will be perfectly Safe... Ron.. |

| If the WD plow is the round beam type, NO. If it is the WD50 plow having shear bolt beams, yes. We used to convert them. Torch off part of the tongue and bolt an eye on. Switch the left lift link over to the right side and replace the left link with the longer link for the D17. Do not lift the plow hitched to a D17 using the WD lift links. They are too short! |

| | do not know where you live, but there used to be so many old AC snap couple plows out there. I would hate to not use the proper plow for the tractor. If that snap couple comes loose or uncoupled you have a death trap on your hands. the plow tongue goes into the ground and the arms do not uncouple as they should and the plow flips over on top of you. I had both a snap couple 2-14" plow and a 2 disc plow for my old D-14 and that snap couple hook must be in excellent working condition. i also had the snap couple corn planter, sub soiler, pond scoup, and 8 ft pickup disc. great old tractor, but just use the right equipmet. |

| Yes, it'll work ok. Just an unbolt, and a bolt on. length is not an issue. Might be hard to find a source for original SC hooks, but I've made them out of 1 inch round shaft, torch heat and bend. |

| Yes you can change the "eye" on the plow. I converted my WD to a snap coupler. I think but, I do not know for sure if the lenght of the plow tongue is the same for a D17 as the WD |
