Starter for a unstyled WC

What bell housing can i use to make my 36 wc electric start? Thanks

I believe you can use the WC/WD bell housing to do that but you also need to flywheel with the ring gear on it. I have all of that by the way

Styled WC housing with a flywheel that has a ring gear. Looks like Old is right and a WD one would work as well. Learned something today. The "correct" WC starter has the switch on the opposite side as a WD, but could probably be made to work. I have the foot pedal with the rod to engage the correct starter.

Styled WC/WD/or WD45 bellhousing & flywheel will all work. Convert a starter from any of those same models for use with a solenoid and just use a push button, so you don"t have to fabricate starter linkage. Kip

If you have a choice, use the 4 shoe WD starter rather than the 2 shoe WC starter for more torque
