Wd electrical help

I am converting my 1950 Allis WD over to a distributer system. My Mag I had on it for the last 10+ years finnialy gave out. So I got a deal on a distributer system for it. I also am replacing the old light /charging switch with a new 3 position switch from Stiener tractor. What I need is a wiring diagram to hook up my new items plus the new wiring harness. My book for the WD dose not cover the distributer system only the Mag system. So if some one could send or tell me what wire goes where I would appreciate it very much.

About 7 pages back I posted wiring diagrams for wd & wd45 which are both about the same and you ignore what does not apply. Maybe it will help if you look. It is out of original manuals so that about as good as it gets.

the light switch / charging system/ has nothing to do with the distributor. New switch goes on same way old one comes off.... The present "kill" switch actually grounds the mag to make it stop fireing. The distributor will need a power wire to make it run. The coil is external so you run a hot wire from the ignition sitch to the coil, wire from coil outlet to the distributor, point inside grounds or opens the system to make it spark.

I should have put on here that I am going to keep the WD the original 6 volt system with positive to the ground.

Yes, my drawing is generic for a 12 volt. If you use the 6, you dont have a regulator, you have a light switch to set the current charge. I was using the drawing more to show the ignition siwtch, coil and distributor. You also might have a positive ground instead of negative, then reverse the terminals on the coil.

I don't mean to highjack this post but my WD-45 wasn't charging (6v) so I grounded the F terminal and it works but it charges on high all the time now. Is it going to hurt anything until I get light switch and console cleaned up and grounded? I don't use it much and not very long when I do.

Grounding the F terminal will make it charge full out. Remember the generator is only 20 amps so it will not hurt for a short period of time. Another thing you can do is put an aligator clip on the end of the ground wire and clip it to the "F" terminal for 15-20 minutes each day when you are running it. Kind of like putting it on a battery charger. If you only run it an hour a week, it dont make much difference. Dont run with it connected for 4-8 hours constant.
