I had been running my 185 allis chalmers diesel for about a year with the temperature gauge sticking. I replaced it with a new gauge from agco and the gauge shows the tractor is running hot. Almost all the way to the far right on red. I know the tractor isnt running hot because i used a digital thermometer and the engine was 160. Its cold here right now and I only run the tractor for about 20 mins and it still shows hot

Only other thing is the sender. Used to replace many of them for every gauge replaced. Wiring in between also has to be correct, but would typically be open, or short. Have to have good voltage to the gauge too, but that wasn't usually an issue.
