AC B Questions

I have a few questions about my '39 B.

When I push the throttle lever forward the throttle rod ( on the governor side) bends and rubs on the bottom of the spark plugs and back of the oil filter. The throttle lever tends kick back due to the pressure. I have very little rod to slide forward at the throttle to relieve the pressure. Anyone have this happen? Solution?

When disking this past fall I had to pull the throttle lever back a little and push it forward quickly to ge the governor to rev the engine to correct rpms. Solution?

Are all brake bands the same for any year B? any one have the part number?

As always you guys are great at helping and I really appreciate it, Mark

All brake bands are now the same. The early hand brake bands had a bolt at one end and they are no longer available. You now need to buy an adjusting screw which works great. You can buy these from Sandy Lake Implement 1-888-252-0656

You can order the bands from this site. Just click on tractor parts at the top right of the menu.

There is a hole in the front gas tank support that the throttle rod goes through. If the rod goes through that 3/8 " hole it can't rub the spark plugs.

The throttle lever is not adjusted correctly on the throttle rod
Loosen the little screw and move the throttle lever a little forward on the throttle rod.
