B oil seal retainer bolts and metal tabs

Finally getting the engine back together, and darned if I can find the rear oil seal retainer bolts and those pesky metal tabs. Bolts are easy enough to replace, but wondering if I can do without the tabs? I know lock washers are out unless I put round washers under them, due to the aluminum housing. A little dab of Locktite Red should prevent loosening and seal the bolts to the block, and the retainer face is fully gasketed to the block around the bolts. Any thoughts?

loctite should work o.k.... you could alsobuy bolts with cross drilled heads and wire them.. i would think McMaster Carr and others sell the sheet metal locks if you want that.

Some of the B"s and C"s had bolts that were drilled and wired rather than having the tabs.
