I drove the tractor a lot, and remember how the guage was built, but never saw one on another tractor. The guage was still on the tractor when it was sold at auction in the '70's. I did see a John Deere A or G with a similar guage, but it was made out of brass, with no glass parts. [Reply]  [No Email]

There is a piece of clear plastic tubing running between the two elbows, with graduated red marks on the tubing to show gas level. Home made for sure, but effective. [Reply]  [No Email]

Not sure who made it. Has a tube that goes to the bottom of the tank with a cork float. Works a lot like the gauge on a 500 gal fuel barrel if you've ever seen one of those. It is all metal..been on it as long as I can remember...it was my Grandad's tractor.. I could take some pictures... Maybe there is a name on it somewhere... Working it HARD, it needed gas every 4 hours or so..3 tanks a day..(36 Gal.) Sun-up to 11:00 PM...pulling 4x14" or an Int #37 Disc, with 12' JD Harrow (Duals when on the disc..). Ron..
