Remember that idle adjustment screw if close to the top of the carb where it bolts to the manifold. Many say screw it in all the way to bottom but not super tight and then back it out 1-1/2 turns and then leave it. That is pretty much how I do it but I almost never run my machines at a low speed idle

Had an old WC that blubbered at idle speed. A veteran AC mechanic told me to increase the spark plub gab to .040 - the engine now idles perfectly.

After 2 good snowfalls up her this is what I found. After start up it was running real rough. Cleaned out the sediment bowl and let some gas run out of the carb bowl and it ran perfect. 1 week later it was running bad again, it would die under load. Cleaned out the sediment bowl again and let some gas out the carb float bowl and I pushed snow for 2 1/2 hours with barely a miss. Glad it was something simple, this time. Thanks for all your help.
