Attached I have a photo of the distributor cables of a wd45. Do I have them placed correctly from the distributor cap to the spark plus? The pic I took before I took it apart was not clear enough. Thanks |

| I may be wrong but I think you have #1 and #4 right but #2 and #3 need to be swapped out since firing order is 1, 2, 4, 3 and right now you have it as 1, 3, 4, 2 as in I think you have the rotor going in your mind as back wards of what it really does but as I said I might be wrong and it is to cold out to pull the cap on my WD45 and make sure it spins the direction I think it does LOL |

| I think it is correct. Rotation of the distributor is CW, viewed from above. |

| As I said I was not 100% sure. I play with to many old tractors to remember for sure which distributor spins which way but I think you know how that can be |

| Well #1 the correct term is spark plug wires. #2 no picture. That said on most distributors you can have any of the 4 as #1 depending on how the timing is set and where the distributor was set in. The firing order is 1, 2, 4, 3 on that engine with the #1 cylinder being the one closest to the radiator and going back from there as 1,2,3,4. So no real way for us to be sure you have it right or 180 out or just flat out wrong |

| | "Well #1 the correct term is spark plug wires." I ain't picking on ya but I will point out that the parts diagram in my WD owners manual calls them "cables" |

| Yes that could be true of that time period but common term today is plug wire. Big and main part is he got it fixed. Of course if you went to a parts store and asked for those as cables what do you think they would hand him?? |
