thread direction

Does anyone know if the nut threads on the belt pulley are right or left hand. This is on an Allis Chalmers C

I am pruty sure they are right handed threads.
Easy to tell. Put your fingernial in the threads on the shaft and turn the shaft the direction it makes your fingernail go up the shaft(on).

I need to remove the nut so I can take the pulley off. Not enough exposed thread to determine with that method.

Normal treads. reason I know is I have a C with a v-belt pulley on in place of the belt pulley

It is a 1" RH fine thread nut.
