I got a wd and when its first started up with the choke on It runs good then once motor is warmed up and choke is turned of it has a slight miss to it Im thinking that maybe the carb needs cleaned on it I hope its not a dead cylinder any ideas ? Im thinking maybe old gas or carb hopefully

Ok so if you choke it some does it help or hurt the way it runs?? If it help yes maybe just need to open up the main jet a little bit. If it does not help or makes it worse then could be you need to check the air cleaner and make sure it is not full of water and dirt. Or you may need to adjust the valves since once warmed up it has the miss and that can be a sign of a valve that needs to be adjusted

I Havent tried to slightly rechoke it once its warmed up I will try that next time I get it running, And check the Air cleaner thanks for the Info

The old oil bath air cleaners on tractors are one of the most neglected parts on a tractor. I have seen people that when I ask say I did not know they had that

Yea I will be checking it out I'm hoping its easy to get it figured out. It starts easy but I'm just hoping its simple I don't want to have a dead cylinder

Many misses are odd things. Another thing to try is find the cylinder that has the miss then move the spark plug in that cylinder to another cylinder and see if the miss goes with the plug

I had problem on my WD wiyh a slight miss in stalled a non fouler on the one plug that seemed to give problem .This seemed to help. Maybe not right place ,but happy birth day old ,my youngest daughter's bd. also she is 27.

When working our WD-45's steady, we would sometimes hear an occasional miss and also see what looked like ONE drop of water in the sediment bowl..

Clean it out and no more miss...

Ron..

I had to replace the manifold gaskets, to remove a presistant miss, on my WD45. Not a bad job, (if no studs twist off)

Ya and those type of misses can be found with a propane torch or a can of carb cleaner spray

I tried all of the mentioned fixes on my WD. Turned out is had a cracked head. If it starts fouling a plug you may have to go in to cure the problem.
Hope not..... AC's were a heck of a tractor, but they had a bunch of head and block issues.
