Anyone know what the correct lenegth is for the top mounting bolt for a Fairbanks magneto on a Model B tractor? I have the little clip, the tractor is not here to measure. |

| Exactly I can not say but it will be around and inch. It will be the same as on the distributor set up also. I might could go out and look at my C to be sure but it is cold out LOL and I am to lazy to just run out there. You figure the flange it goes in is about a 1/2 inch thick so another 1/2 inch of treads to hold it. If you going to buy a both I would just buy say a 1/2 , 3/4, 1, and 1-1/2 and the you know you have the right one and at around $2 a pound you could buy a lot of them. I buy bolts by the pound that way 1/4 inch all the way up to 1/2 inch and I buy say 3 pounds of mixed lengths so I then have them on hand when I need a bolt |

| | Old, Where do you go that you can still buy bolts by the pound. I usually go to ace hardware or Fastenal and they have them priced by type of bolt. |

| Orchelans has them by the pound as does TSC and other such places. Ya now days getting harder to find them that way. Orchelans has them for $1.99 per lbs and if you go in on Tuesday you can get a military discount if you are a vet and on Wednesday you can get an old fart discount if your over 50 |

| Rural King still sells bolts, washers, cotter pins and lag screws by the pound. |
