Wd45 won't without choke

Sounds like intake manifold gaskets leaking. Spray WD-40 or starting fluid (just a mist and not at) a foot or two beside carb, manifold area. If it smooths out and runs better due to that mist, it is sucking air.

Mine did that this summer. Carb was rusted from water sitting in it (long story). Pulled carb, blew out the main jet and cleaned out the rust. No problems since.

Just because gas flows good does not say much since you have not given enough info for use to help you help your self. Gas flows but where. Carb drain plug or fuel line or where. If it flows good out of the drain plug then remove the main jet there should be a needle that you can adjust then a nut that locks/holds that needle then a bigger nut sort of thing. Remove the bigger one and make sure you have a good flow there and also that the needle area of that part is not clogged up

Ok so pull the main jet adjustment nut and make sure you have a good flow there also. If you do not then the main jet is clogged and it will not run well if it is

The passage that feeds the Main fuel Needle adjustment can slowly fill with sediment until it plugs..
Not hard to open back up...usually just remove the Main (Load Needle) and let fuel flush it out, or run a soft wire thru the passage as fuel flows..
