D-19 Traction Boost / Make-up Oil

Which line supplies the traction boost / make-up oil to the control valves? I have the three spool control valve. Can I plug it to disable the traction boost / make-up oil?

I have a valve problem in my pump. I would like to wait until summer to tare the pump out. It acts like the make-up oil does not shut off. I have disconnected the linkage to the rams, the drawbar spring, and the traction boost quadrent lever so that I could verify the valves were in the "off" position and that they were not being held up by incorrectly adjusted linkages. The snap coupler hitch will not stay in the down position.

Check the linkages first, from the valve down. Also check the control link, from the SC bell to the pump. Also make sure that the TB lever is low in the quadrant, and that its linkage is good.

Thanks. That was the first thing that I checked. I then unhooked the linkages and manually held the valves in the position that should stop the traction boost and make-up oil. Just for fun, I even tried every combination of valve positions and the hitch did not stop rising.

Another thought occurs to me, maybe your relief valve has a broken spring, or is stuck, it was in the valve bank, near the left fender, has a cover, and 2 allen head bolts hold the cover on, I think you pull it out from the cover side. You should set it with a flow meter and guage, and remember this is a high pressure (3500 psi) and low flow (4 GPM) system.
