Most likely the points need to be replaced or cleaned BUT depending on the mag you also have to know how to install the rotor the correct way or you will get it way out of time. Send me an e-mail and tell me which mag it is and I can then send you the manual for your mag so you can do it the correct way

Look on the mag it should have some info on it. There was 2 common mags used on the A/C tractors. So if you send me an e-mail and I send you the wrong one just let me know and I can send the other one.

Probably a Fairbanks Morse FMJ magnito, as these were the most common on a AC B or C tractor. To clean the points, remove the cap that has 2 screws, and take note of where the rotor bug is pointing at, then remove the 4 scrws holding the bakelite cap on.After exposing the points, go sneak the wife's sandpaper nail board, out of the house, and insert it between the closed points, and sand them shiney. Blow all sand out of the magnito, and reinstall the bakeite cap,MAKING SURE THAT THE ROTOR STILL POINTS WHERE IT DID PREVIOUSLY. This assumes that you didn't rotate the engine during the above actions. replace the cap with 2 screws, and try for fire. If no fire then your condenser or coil is bad, or the kill switch is grounded out. Good luck
