I bought a starter not knowing there was a difference in fly wheels. I don"t really want to invest in a whole new starter when the one I have is new but binds because of the 14 teeth. Some of the B's that I have heard about used an Autolite started, but I'm told that thr=ere aren't any parts available for them. I never heard of a 12 spline starter. The B uses a 90 tooth ring gear, but I don't know how many teeth the starter gear has. The wd uses a coarse gear. A friend of mine bought a pinion gear from NAPA for his B and it was too coarse.
