worn pawl - Pic

Just got the steering arm out of the box - looks flat on both sides one side more than the other.Would this cause excessive slack in the wheel ? Bad enough to replace ???

It sure is bad enough to replace. Did you fine a pawl? I have not dug thru my home tool box where I might have one. I thought I saw one a year or so ago somewhere. I made a new one for someone last spring I think. I have some stock to make some in my tool shop but as I said I will not be able to get open to make one before the end of this month. If I find one in my tool box you can have it.

Look on Ebay for Steering pin.

Thanks Bobby

yup it is worn enough, weld it up and smooth it out, any other used one is gona be about the same

The local JD dealer doesn't have one but found one in Dallas,Tx. $78.00 !! Sounds way high to me - seeing these other price options.

Because you are having problems that seem to be overloading I will look this morning for one and if I find it the cost will be astronomical as is anything I help lost souls. :)^d
