Thanks Dick - I hope this is my problem. How long do you think it will take to tear down & put back after I change the pawl ? |

| Thanks Dick- If the pawl isn't flat on both sides where would I look for another problem ? The tie rods have some play but it doesn't seem to be excessive. I called the JD place today but they wern't sure what I was needing. They had heard of a pawl but wasn't sure of what it was . I told them I would bring a pic of it - maybe they can figure it out !! |

| I swapped one out for a fellow at his place one time in a forenoon. I think it was about three hours. I had all my tools that I would need on the truck. Not my first dance though. I also swapped out his tie rod in that time. |

| Dick, do you know where I can get a part # for the pawl in that Ross gear box ? Went to the local JD dealer but they had know info without a part # to stsrt with ! |

| Dick I found the part # for the follower or pawl for the ross steering box . |
