ALLIS WD-45 ENGINE BUILD

I"m looking for someone that has experience building WD45 engines. The engine is currently seized. Any advice is much appreciated.

motor has liners for cylinders. RIngs are probalby froze to the liners. take off the head, turn upside down. Take off the pan, take one rod off at a time, and pound out the top and piston, rod and liners might come out as one.

When you say that it is seized are you saying that they engine has been sitting a long time, and won"t turn, or that it overheat and seized etc? Is this just a tractor that has sat idle for to long?

I want to agree with the one below that said to check for cracks. I use a 3 part spray, and I can't say enough of hoe important this is. I've seen several WD-45's with cracks.

A whole lot depends on where in the world you are since many of us on Y-T have been into many many engines. Shoot I have an old WD45 engine sitting in my shop for that matter

Suggest you guy a genuine Alllis Chalmers manual, they (reprints) can be found at a fair price on Ebay. At least the price was decent a couple of years ago when I bought mine.

Much better than I&T manuals.

around here auto machine shops also do engine rebuilds and do tractor motors , check around your area to see, if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself.
