AC disc id? photos

Hi. I'd like to id the model of our AC disc. Its about 12 foot wide.

Also, is it the one/ type of AC Ive seen reffeence to here on the form that Agco wants an arm and a leg for the bearings? And that one guy posted his own rebuild parts list?

Thanks. Didn't relize it was for the 45, assumed it was D17 vintage/ ideal tracor.

We'll ither modify a JD bearing, or get a machinest fried to help him.

You can use it on any tractor in the D-series, big enough to pull it, with one caveat: There are 2 different tongue lengths, the wd45 is (I think) 6" shorter than a D-17. If I am wrong, someone will correct me. The good thing about the disc, is it is a weight transfer design, made for the TB system, on AC Tractors. (if it still has the original cyl)

Dont know what cylnder it has on it, too dark out to take a better picture and ask. Do know it is too much for our WD45 on the second or third pass, in arizona soil, and dad siad he had to lift up slightly with the wheels. But our WD45 doent have the rear weights on, may not have water in the tires, and one rear is poor tread, so it may be the combo of soil and the tractor.

I just took a look at the cylinder, looks like a low pressure unit, that farm stores sell. You need a 3500# cyl. Then you can use the traction booster, to regulate the depth, by putting some of the weight on the wheels of the disc. Surpluscenter.com may have a high pressure cylinder, that fits.

Those are the expensive bearings that I posted a rebuild option for. That disk doesn't have the chain and other parts still on it to use the traction boost. It'd be hard to get enough traction on a 45 without traction boost and/or weights and fluid.
